A Clinical Assessment on the Effect and Safety of Calcium Hopantenate

Abstract

|
Calcium hopantenate (HOPA) was evaluated for the treatment of the patients with CVA complication. 31 patients (male 21, female 10) were given the daily dosage of 6 tablets for 8 weeks. DR scale by K.
Hasegwa as well as typical target symptoms were adopted for the efficacy evaluation before and after treatment.
As whole 77.4% of symptom improvement was shown. Relatively good improvement was observed in point of spontanelity.
Mild gastric discomforts including anorexia and vomiting were noted as adverse reactions. In conclusion HOPA was effective and well tolerated in the treatment of CVA complicated patients.
